Installing the MeetingPlace for Outlook Plugin
Before You Begin
- >> You must have administrator rights on your workstation/computer. If you don't, please contact your Regional Tech for further directions.
- >> You must exit all Microsoft Office programs, including Microsoft Outlook and Office Communicator 2005.
- >> Please note where files downloaded from the Internet are stored on your workstation.
Installation Procedure
- Step 1: Use the following URL to download the MeetingPlace for Outlook Installer: (Download should be automatic.)
https://meetingplace.aces.illinois.edu/mpweb/mpoutlook/setup.exe - Step 2: Once the download is complete, browse to setup.exe.
- Step 3: To Verify this is the correct setup file, right click on the file and scroll to Properties, choose the version tab and make sure it reads Cisco Meeting Place for Outlook. Don’t worry about the version number.
- Step 4: Execute/run the file, setup.exe. This can be accomplished by double-clicking the file.
- Step 5: In the Cisco Unified Meeting Place for Outlook dialog box, click OK to start the installation.
- Step 6: Click OK in the dialog box stating that the installation is complete.
- Step 7: You may now restart Microsoft Outlook and Office Communicator.
Future updates...
When an update is available for this plug-in, you will be notified when connecting to Meeting Place through Outlook scheduling. Follow the simple directions to update your Outlook.
