Billing Codes

In MeetingPlace, a billing code is a short (8-digit; format: ####-####) number which represents a link to the more detailed set of billing information each unit might have.

Units at the University of Illinois will have billing codes that link to one or more C-FOAPAL (C-FOP) numbers, which in-turn will be used for internal billing.

Clients from outside the University of Illinois system will need to provide alternate billing information which we store and reference with an assigned billing code.

Each user profile on the system is created with a default billing code which serves as a default. (New meetings scheduled under your profile will inherit this default billing code, unless you specify another...) For those who need to schedule sessions against multiple billing targets, we can establish additional, alternate billing codes for you. Out with the Old, In with the New...

With the move to the new MeetingPlace system, and in partnership with CITES Teleconferencing Services to provide reliable e-conferencing services to the Illinois campus, we found it necessary to migrate to a new billing code system. Much of the structure of the old system was preserved, but all of the numbers/codes have changed to some degree.

For now, please use the old listing system to access the current list of billing codes -- we have fully integrated all of the new codes into the this system. (includes all new & legacy codes...)

We hope to be able to provide a new database-driven listing of alternate billing codes soon.
